For the production and use of building material increasingly stricter technological and ecological standards are being applied. The priority is placed upon work safety for employees when processing these materials as well as on health protection when using these products and their environmental compatibility. Therefore it is advisable to use raw materials that do not endanger or otherwise affect humans and the environment.

Bitumen meet these requirements. It is a natural product that is produced, processed and used in an environmentally compatible way. Production and use are determined by obligatory technical standards and regulations. A number of scientific studies carried out in recent years have not provided any evidence that there is a health risk when handling bitumen.
